The osPID is a collaboration between Phang Moh of Rocket Scream Electronics, creators of the Arduino Reflow Controller Shield, and Brett Beauregard, creator of the Arduino PID Library. An unexpected meet up at the airport in the wee hours of morning when Brett was having a connecting flight to eastern coast of Malaysia turned out to be the birth of the open source PID controller. Brett went back to the States with the reflow oven controller shield that eventually evolved into the osPID.
